Freddy Third in Belfast Half

Freddy Sittuk took third place in the Deep River Rock Belfast Half Marathon on Sunday. Sittuk clocked 70 minutes six seconds with country man Gideon Kipsang racing in the City of Derry colours won out in 64:38 with Clonliffe’s Stephen Scullion second in 66:12. Mark Kirwan posted the fasted parkrun of the Shamrock’s for September 16 posting 15 minutes and 30 seconds for victory in Marlay Park. While in Malahide Robert Frewen won out in 17 minutes 39 seconds, 10 seconds clear of Annette Kealy. Mick Clohisey kicked off the 2017/18 season in style winning the Lakes 10k in Blessington Co. Wicklow.
