Masters Take Home the National Medals

Adrienne Atkins, Patricia O’Cleirigh and Feidhilm Kelly took gold medals at the national masters track and field championships held in Santry today. Atkins collected gold in the W55 1500m’s posting 5:52.88 and followed that up with silver in the 800 metres posting 2:45.98. Please be advised that Rounds four, five and six of the 2021 Lord Mayor of Raheny series will begin at earlier times in interest of health and safety. Comerford Competes At Paralympic Games

Orla Comerford competed in her second Paralympic Games in Tokyo taking fourth place in her T13 100m heat. Comerford posted 12.87 seconds for fourth place with the race won by Elena Chebnu of Azerbijian in 12.16 seconds. Adiaratou Iglesias Forneiro of Spain was second in 12.20 seconds. Dooney and Team Win In Bohermeen

Kevin Dooney landed the prestigious Bohermeen 5 Mile road race ahead of Mick Clohisey as the Raheny men’s team won out. 2018 national cross country champion Dooney clocked 23:53, three seconds ahead of 2015 national cross country champion Clohissey.
