Shamrock’s Ready For Europe

The Raheny Shamrock men’s team have arrived in Mira, Portugal for the 2018 European Champion Clubs Cup Cross Country.

The Irish champions trained on the course this morning ahead of their second consecutive appearance at the European Champion Clubs Cross Country.

The team show’s one change as John Dunne replaces the injured Conor Dooney.

Mick Clohisey leads the team having finished 10th overall in this event 12 months ago is joined by current Irish senior international Kevin Dooney and Irish under-23 international Eoin Strutt.

Mark Kirwan, Cillian O’Leary and John Dunne are the six selected athlete with Ian Conroy on the replacement list.

22 club’s reigning cross country champions are also entered in the men’s field which is due to start at 12:10 Irish time.

Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club express best wishes to Leevale A.C in the senior women’s race, Dundrum South Dublin A.C in the under-20 women’s race and Galway City Harriers in the under-20 men’s race.
