Peter Somba landed the Battle of Clontarf 10 Mile in a wet and windy St. Anne’s Park.
Somba posted 52 minutes 31 seconds, the Dunboyne runner also adding the Leinster championship with Rathfarnham’s Robert Murphy taking silver in 53 minutes seven seconds.
Sportsworld’s Karol Cronin took bronze in 55 minutes 37 seconds some 17 seconds clear of Sli Cualann’s Clive Quinn.
Sally Forristal of St. Joseph’s landed the women’s title in 62 minutes 25 seconds followed by Dunleer’s Karen Costello in 63:13 with Sinead Tangney of Sportsworld third in 63:41.
The men’s team race went with a total of 30 points thanks to fifth place David Fitzpatrick, ninth placed Kevin English and 16th place Luke Coleman.
The team silver medal went to Sportsworld with Sli Culann taking bronze.
Host club Raheny Shamrock won the women’s team event with a very low total of 20 points thanks to Tara Kennedy, Aine Crimin and Mary Walsh.
Sli Cualann took second place with 49 points with Portmanock third on 61 points.
