Charlton Wins Holland Cup

Angela Charlton landed the 2018 Holland Cup, the 58th running of the competition.

The handicap race kicked off at 8pm on the traditional route from the taxi rank around Watermill road to the coast road, heading toward Howth and then returning to the village via the Howth road.

The first training and race route ran by Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club.

Charlton finished in 20 minutes 54 seconds and but beat the sealed handicap to come home as winner.

Kieran Kelly took second place with Will Walsh third, Zoe Quinn fourth, Kevin Moriarity fifth and John Clarke sixth.

The race was won outright by Kieran Kelly in 13 minutes 14 seconds with Kevin Moriairty second some 16 seconds behind. Will Walsh was third over the line in 14:56.
