North Leinster Schools Day One – Results

The opening day of the North Leinster Schools track and field championships took place in Santry Stadium with Raheny Shamrock Athlete’s gathering 11 medals.

There were gold medals for, Conall O’Toole of Scoil Chaitríona in the senior boys 400 metres, Kim O’Hare of Sutton Park School in the senior girls triple jump. While St.Fintan’s high school Sutton’s took senior boys triple jump gold.

St.Fintan’s high school Sutton’s James Hyland took gold in the intermediate boys steeplechase and Sophie Langan of Manor House in the junior triple jump.

There were silver medals for Jamie Sheridan of St.David’s CBS Artane in the senior 400 metres, Holy Faith Clontarf’s Aoibhinn McGoldrick in the senior girls 1500m steeplechase.

Daniel Beveridge of St. David’s CBS took silver in the senior boys shot put, Caoimhe Flynn of Sutton Park School in the senior girls 400 metres and St. Paul’s Sean Barrett in under 16 Mile.

There were bronze medals for the Manor House Raheny pair Sophie O’Riordan in senior girls triple jump and Caroline Kavanagh in the junior girls triple jump.

Others who ran well, were Rhys Chapman, Tommy Coakley, Jasmine Pageat, Emer Sheridan, Katie Groves, Ellen Sheehan, Sean Flynn and Scott Atkins.

Meanwhile Fionn McGrane of Belvedere College took gold in the intermediate triple-jump at the West Leinsters.
