Mick Clohisey took second place in the Terenure Five mile just one second behind Peter Somba.
It was another epic battle between Somba and Clohisey, with Somba just holding the edge on Clohisey who will be part of the Irish team at the European 10,000 metre cup later this month.
Clohisey posted 23:58 with Mark Kirwan fifth in 25:15.
A large Raheny Shamrock contingent travelled to Terenure with Feidhilm Kelly next Raheny man home in 27:59 followed by Gerard Mullins in 29:06.
