Arrey Sets New Club 400 Metre Record

Brandon Array set a new club 400 metre record in the Belfast International on Tuesday evening.

Arrey clocked 47.05 seconds to take second place in the A 400 metre race just behind Sudan’s Sadam Koumi who won out in 46.83.

While it was a new personal best, Arrey’s time smashed Kieran Finn’s club record of 47.19 seconds which was set in the Markdye on July seventh 1987.

Well done to Brandon and there is still a lot of running left in the season.

Elsewhere at the Belfast international Brian Fay took third place in the 800 metres posting 1:50.80. A race won by Conall Kirk in 1:50.37.

On the subject of club records, congratulations to Colm Burke on advancing his triple jump record to 13 metres 89 centimetres, which was jumped at the national track and field league on Sunday June 24th.
