Sittuk Continues To Rule The Roads

Freddy Situk continued his road running reign when he claimed the Kilcock 5K on Friday night posting 14 minutes 52 seconds.

Freddy was some three seconds clear of Niall Shanahan in second place.

Cillian O’Leary took fourth place in 15 minutes six seconds. Others who ran in Kilcock were, Gabriel Byrne 19:15, Orla Lambe 21:32, Emer O’Gorman 23:54 and Dave Brady 26:57.

Freddy then continued his road running prowess posting 71 minutes 30 seconds to win the Waterford Viking Half-Marathon over 60 seconds clear of Waterford man Trevor Power.

Tara Kennedy-Monks took second place in the women’s race posting 85 minutes 38 seconds. Wateford’s Ruth Fitzgerald won out in 83:49.

While Eilis Daly clocked 1:58.46.

At the Clonee 10K on Thursday night, Eoin Connolly posted 37:39 and Dave Brady 58:01.

At the Dockland’s 5K Graham O’Dwyer led home a large Raheny contingent in 16:38 followed Robert Frewen 16:47, Terry Keogh 17:30, Eric Champ 17:40.
