Favors Breaks Club Shot Put Record Again

Eric Favors set a new club record for the shot put with a best of 16.68 meters at Dublin Graded meet on Wednesday night.

Favors had reset the 37-year-old club shot put record just four days earlier, before winning the shot put competition with a new club record.

Elsewhere on the track, Lucy Barret posted 5:19.80 for fourth place in the A 1500 metres with Helen Carr taking fourth place in C1 1500 in 6:09.79.

In the same race Eimear O’Keeffe finished eighth in 6:17.09 and Denise Kelleher 11th in 6:42.30.

Andrew Hyland took seventh place in the 3000 metres posting 9:12.00. Donal Foley took 11th place in 9:1928 and Dylan O’Brien 14th in 10:00.03.

Conall O’Toole took fourth place in the 400 metres A1 race in 51.50 seconds. In A2 race Jamie Sheridan posted 53.34 for sixth place.

In the C1 race James Smithe took second place in 57.85 and Liam Sheehan fifth in 61.32.

In the women’s 400 metres B1 race Sarah Tate finished second in 63.61. In the C1 race Adrienne Atkins clocked 68.22 seconds for sixth place.

While Laura Fallon jumped a best of 2.55 metres in the pole vault.
