Mick Clohisey took 18th place in the European Championship marathon posting 2:18:00 having been the leading Irish athlete for much of the race.
Kevin Seaward (St Malachy’s) came through well for a 15th place finish in 2:16:58, leading the Irish team home.
The Irish men’s marathon team finished an excellent sixth with a combined time of 6:53:55.
Sean Hehir (Rathfarnham) was 25th to complete the team’s scoring.
