Half-Marathon Bronze of Kennedy Monks

Tara Kennedy-Monks took bronze in the national half-marathon which was ran as part of the Rock’n’Roll marathon this morning.

Kennedy Monk’s clocked 86 minutes 12 seconds for bronze, with Letterkenny’s Caitriona Jennings winning out in 82.25.

The provisional results have been published by athletics Ireland and a number of club athletes are currently in medal positions

Mary Walsh is in the gold medal position for the over-40’s category as is Caroline Farrelly in the over-50.

In the men’s event Brian Leahy is currently down for bronze in the over-40’s.

In team events the women’s over-40 team of Tara Kennedy-Monks, Mary Walsh and Louise Keogh are set for gold. While the over-50’s team of Mary Purdue-Smyth, Brighid Smyth and Caroline Farrelly are set for silver.

The team of Bernie Manley, Cherie Hyland and Aine Duffy are set for bronze.
