Kim O’Hare set a new club triple jump record at the national under-23 indoor championships in Athlone IT on Sunday.
O’Hare jumped 11.31 metres to take silver, registered her best jump as her second effort. Waterford’s Grace Furlong took gold with a best of 11.50 metres.
Meanwhile, Aislinn Mumford took silver in the under-23 pole vault with a best of 2.75 metres, Muireann McGinley of Dublin City Harriers took gold with a best of 2.90 metres.
Elsewhere Laura Fallon jumped 2.45 metres in the junior pole vault. Andrew Hyland posted 4:10.44 in the Under-23 1500m.
Hannah Byrne made the women’s 400 metres posting 60.96 seconds in the 400 metres final having posted 61.66 seconds in the semi-final.
