Hyland Claims All-Ireland School’s Bronze

James Hyland (St. Fintan’s High school) took bronze at the intermediate 1500m steeplechase at the All-Ireland schools track & field championships in Tullamore on Saturday.

Hyland clocked four minutes 41.79 seconds for bronze with Royal School Armagh’s Joseph Haynes winning in 4:36.53 and Fionn Harrington St. Bogan’s Bandon second in 4:40.76.

Conor Flanagan (Belvedere College) secured joint bronze winner in intermediate pole vault with 3.00m.

In the intermediate boys 100 metres Michael Farrelly (St Fintan’s) took fourth place in 11.02 seconds while Scott Meany (Belvedere College) was seventh in the intermediate long jump.

While Hugh Flood (Belvedere College) took fourth place in the senior hammer with a best of 48.19 metres and Laura Fallon (Kilcock) was fourth in senior pole vault with 2.50.
