Double Gold Medal National Juvenile Joy

Sean Maher won the Under-18 Hammer in 63.39 at Day two of the Irish Life Health National Juvenile T&F Championships in Tullamore.

The Under15 discus saw Madeleine Duplo and Onome Akpoter compete, having been throwing for only six weeks.

Madeleine took fifth place with a best of 27.98m, losing on count back for bronze. Onome unfortunately didn’t make top eight but has gained valuable experience for next year.

James Hyland took sixth place in the Under-18 3000m in 9:21.36 with Adam Condon taking sixth place in the Under-17 3000m in 9:21.07.

On day four of the championships Conor Flanagan won the Under-17 Pole Vault with a 3 metre clearance, equalling his personal best.

Valerie Tsukanova was eighth in her Under-18 discus with a best of 20.19m.

Madeleine Duplo threw 8.56m in her qualifying round of U15 shot and Onome Akpotor threw 7.37m

While Aedan L’Estrange clock 24.54 seconds in his U17 200m heat.
