I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the members of Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club who turned out to help in the AXA Raheny 5 Road Race Weekend, the volume of stewards and volunteers by far exceeded my expectations for which I am so grateful.
Your contribution, no matter how large or small, has made this year’s race one of the most memorable in the history of the Raheny 5.
To all who assisted with the packing of the Goody Bags – Thank You!
To all who helped with the moving of these Goody Bags on Saturday and Sunday (many using their own private transport) for distribution on race day – Thank You!
To all the Stewards who turned out in great numbers, many of whom had already packed and moved the Goody Bags – Thank You!
Stewarding on the day was most impressive with all required areas well covered, this no doubt left a great impression on all who came to participate in our race.
I understand that for many of you this was your first time to Steward and volunteer at such a large event. I hope you enjoyed the experience as your presence was pivotal to the success of the day.
It was so great to see so many runners and visitors who came to experience and run in the best 5 Mile Road Race in Ireland, and to be entertained by the best running club, your club, in Ireland.
Well done to all, you can feel justifiably proud of your contribution for a most successful day.
