Cillian Kirwan broke the tape to win the 1500 meters on night one of the Leevale Track and Field Summer evening.
Kirwan was in control throughout and hit the gas on the back straight to win out in 3:52.92 some four seconds clear of Togher’s Liam Harris who posted 3:56.14.

A few results that were late to be posted on Saturday night, Isuelt O’Donnell clocked 2:07.2 for 800 metres finishing third at the Moyne Summer games.
The race was won by Nadia Power (DCH) in 2:05.01 and Katie Kirk (UUJ) second in 2:06.5 in blustery conditions.
Brian Fay finished third in the mile in 4:02.6 as local favourite Sean Tobin just missed out on breaking the four minute barrier posting 4:00.4. Cillian Kirwan finished fourth in 4:13.9.
Also in Moyne Sophie Becker posted 24.56 seconds finishing second in heat three of the 200 metres. The race was won by St. Colman’s South Mayo’s Sarah Quinn in 24.55.
At the first Dublin graded of the season, Niamh Fogarty won the discus competition with a best of 46.84 metres.
Mark Smyth was victorious in the 100 metres as the video bellows proves. Unfortunately the results don’t seem to reference this, hopefully they will be amended shortly.
