This popular event has been ran since 1978, honouring former Club President Joe Noonan, father of our current President, PJ Noonan. The 43rd edition of which was due to be run on its traditional date of the last Sunday before Christmas Day is suspended.

We hope to host this event once restrictions allow.

  1. Christmas Day Race down the Avenue/The GOAL Mile

The Christmas Day race down the avenue which incorporates the GOAL Mile is postponed.

GOAL are promoting their event at all venues virtually for 2020.

We strongly encourage all Club Members, their relations, Friends and Supporters of the Club to whom this event is such a Christmas morning tradition, to support the Virtual enter at and enter online.

We plan to host a “Members Only” race down the avenue in 2021 and award all available race trophies for 2020.

  1. St Stephens Day Parlauf’s

The St. Stephen’s Day Parlauf’s are postponed. We plan to host this event, once restrictions allow competition to resume with relevant trophies to be awarded for the 2020 event.

  1. Lord Mayor Series & Battle of Clontarf 10

It is the club’s intention to complete the 2020 Lord Mayor of Raheny Two Mile Series in 2021 once restrictions allow return to competition.

The club’s full 2021 Road Racing fixture list will be drawn on completion of the 2020 Lord Mayor of Raheny Series.

Once restrictions are lifted to allow for Road Racing, the club will engage with relevant authorises to host the Battle of Clontarf 10.

While disappointed to make the above statement, the health and safety of our members, supporters and friends is of the upmost importance.

2020 will be the first year in the history of the club, that a race/run will not take place on Christmas morning.
