Becker Helps Ireland to World Relay Second

Sophie Becker steered the Irish women’s 4×200 metre relay team to second at the World Relays in Silesia, Poland.

Becker won the fourth leg as Ireland clocked a national record of 1:35.93 for second place behind relay winners Poland who clocked 1:34.93. Ecuador took third place in 1:36.83.

Aoife Lynch ran the first leg in 24.48 seconds with Kate Doherty posting 24.05 for the second leg followed by Sarah Quinn in 23.58 with Becker anchoring the team into second place in 23.82 seconds.

A great performance by the Irish team taking second place in an international relays tournament.
