In Santry on Saturday, nine Raheny athletes competing under the flag of their native Clontarf enjoyed significant success. George Sevastopulo struck gold in the boys U14 800m running 2:19 with a strong finish. Elena Forkan ran 5:17 to finish second in the U16 girls 1500m. 2021 Tommy Lynam Cup takes place tonight

The 2021 Tommy Lynam Cup incorporating round two of the 2021 Lord Mayor of Raheny series takes place tonight. The race takes place over the normal course with HQ on Wades Avenue. Entry fee is €7 or a series entry fee of €30 is available here.

Gilheanny Fourth In National 50K

Orla Gilheanny took fourth place at the National 50K in Donadea on Saturday. Gilheanny posted 4:36.54 for fourth, a race which was won by Deirdre Lynn in 3:56.33. Gilheanny also took second place in her age category. Elsewhere Mick Clohisey was second in the Drogheda & District AC Termonfeckin 10 Mile road race on Sunday.
