The club would like to offer it’s condolences to the family of Jim McNamara who died on Thursday morning last. While Jim is best known for his long association with Donore Harriers he was a member of Raheny Shamrocks from 1981 to 1984. Jim lived in Coolock from the mid 1970s to the early 1980s. Niamh Corry was third in the All Ireland Schools XC at Sligo Racecourse. Running for Malahide CS, Niamh made much of the early running in a tightly packed bunch but had to settle for the bronze over the 2500m distance. Mick Traynor was the winner of Round 8 of the Winter League. Mick won in a time of 10:21 with Donal Foley second in 10:23 and Paul Cowhie third in 10:25. Helen Carr was winner of the women’s race in 12:40, with Elaine McNulty second in 13:25 and Deirdre Fitzsimons third in 13:37.
