Bourke Sets New Long Jump Record

Colm Bourke set a new club long jump record as he finished second in the Scottish Championships on Sunday. Bourke jumped 7.38 metres a massive improvement on the club’s record of 7.18 metres to finish second in the championship overall. Kirwan Fifth at Frank Duffy

Mark Kirwan took fifth place in the Frank Duffy 10 Mile, part of the Dublin Marathon race series on Saturay morning in the phoenix park. Kirwan posted 53 minutes and 21 seconds in a race that was won by Clonliffe’s Stephen Scullion in 50 minutes 37 seconds. Ian Conroy was first past the post in the St Annes Parkrun posting a swift 15 minutes 40 seconds with Graham O’Dwyer second in 17:08. The 2017 Lord Mayor of Raheny Road Race Series has seen a 45% year-on-year increase in participants as runners fled to Raheny on Tuesday evenings.
