Eric Favors set a new national shot put record with a throw of 20.07 metres at the Puerto Rico international athletics classic. Favors took fifth place with a best of 20.07m. Brian Fay’s massive 2022 continued when he posted a new club 1500 metres record at the Sound Running meet in California. Fay posted 3:40.43 for ninth place overall. Clohisey Wins Drogheda 10K

Mick Clohisey produced a convincing performance to win the Drogheda 10K by nearly two minutes on Sunday. Clohisey posted 30:41 for victory ahead of Aaron Smith of Cillies who clocked 32:11.
