Niamh Kearney made history at round two of the Winter League on Wednesday night, becoming the first female race winner.
Kearney posted a sharp 10 minutes 40 over two miles on a gold winters evening. Ruairi O’Sullivan took second place holding off Alan Foley.
A big field pushed on by Brian Sexton’s juvenile group made it a very interesting winters night.
