Tonight was saw the 29th edition of the Jim Wall handicap race take place. A staggered start saw a bunched finish with James Fitzgerald, a relation of Jim’s, taking the honours in 17:55 ahead of father George Fitzgerald in 18:09 and Ray McCormack in third in 18:21. Freddy Sittuk was winner of the Derry half marathon. On a hilly course, Freddy won in 1:07:36. Mark Kirwan won the Lakes 10k in 31:14. Other finishers were Declan Robinson 37:18, Helen Carr 43:10 and Denise Kelleher 49:11. Annette was first female in the Portmarnock beach 10k. Annette finished in 39:21.
