Bronze Men in Leinster Intermediate

Men’s track and field captain Simon Devenney led the intermediate cross country team to a delightful bronze in Dunboyne.

Devenney has been making a solid return from injury came home in ninth position some 90 seconds behind race winner Stephen Conroy of Celbridge.

Ian McConkey took 12th place with Davey Duane 16th and Rory O’Sullivan 20th to give the men’s team a total of 57 points and bronze medals.

Kildare outfit Celbridge won the gold medal with 18 points with Tullamore Harriers taking silver with 38 points.

The other Raheny team members were; Carl Conroy 28th, John Clarke 32nd and Graham O’Dwyer 33rd.
