Clohisey improves marathon time

It was a great day for the club, with athletes setting pb’s and club records. Mick Clohisey ran the Seville in hopes to improve his marathon time in the lead up to the Olympics. Mick finished in 10th overall in 2:15:10, bettering his pb from Berlin by 27 seconds. The result also moves Mick up to second fastest qualifier in the marathon ahead of selection in the Olympic games.

On the home front, Susan Scallan set a new club indoor record in the 400m at the Connaught Indoor Championships. Susan ran a time of 56:03, which was nearly a full second faster than the previous record held by training partner Aisling Drumgoole. On the roads Simon Ryan won the Mount Hanover 5k in 16:45.
