An evening with Paddy Fay

An evening with Paddy Fay, Thursday 22nd September in St Fintans school at 8pm

Paddy Fay is a Life Member of Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club. He was the Club’s first Juvenile member in 1959. A former Dublin and Leinster sprint champion. He was a member of the club’s famous 4x400m relay team that won the National Title in 1970. Paddy was coach to the Irish Olympic team in Sydney in 2000. He also was coach to several Irish teams at the World and European Championships both Indoors and Outdoors. Paddy was the main man responsible for the big upsurge in standards in Irish sprinting from the mid nineteen nineties onwards. Many of the athletes he coached went on to win medals at British AAA, European and World level. His talk is a must for anyone interested in Athletics no matter what event they do.
