Dublin Medals Galore At Rathfarnham 5K

Juan Ignacio Pena won the prestigious Rathfarmham 5km incorporating the Dublin 5km Championships.

Pena clocked 14 minutes 34 seconds to win the Dublin championship and race outright. Clonliffe’s Colm Rooney came home in second place in 14:39.

Shane Spring came home in third place taking the Dublin bronze medal is 14:41.

Whereas, Niamh Kearney landed the Dublin ladies championship clocking 16:27.

While there was Dublin gold medals for the men’s and women’s teams.

The men’s team of Juan Ignacio Pena, Shane Spring, David Rooney Adam Condon took Dublin gold and the Rathfarnham team prize.

As did the women’s team of Niamh Kearney, Lucy Barrett, Annette Kealy and Maria Dolan.

A very strong performance for the club with David Rooney coming home in 15:25 followed by Adam Condon 15:31, John Dunne 15:55, Jordan McDonnell 15:59.
