The East, West, and North Leinster Secondary Schools Cross Country championships took place in the Phoenix Park over last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The top 15 athletes in each event qualified to represent their schools in the upcoming Leinster Championships in Santry Demesne on February 8th, along with the top three schools teams in each event. The National Juvenile Uneven Ages Cross Country took place just outside Conna in Cork on Sunday. The event was hosted by St. Catherine’s AC and was superbly organised. Conditions were very testing with plenty muck, loads of hills, and even a water feature thrown in for good measure! The All Ireland Even Age Juvenile Championships took place yesterday at Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort in North Donegal. We had 14 Juveniles represent the club at u14, u16 and u18 level before the action got underway for the Raheny Junior Men and Senior Women and Men. The Raheny Girls u14 team were the first in action.
