{"id":1694,"date":"2017-06-15T16:14:53","date_gmt":"2017-06-15T16:14:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=1694"},"modified":"2017-06-15T16:14:53","modified_gmt":"2017-06-15T16:14:53","slug":"tommy-lynam-mid-summer-two-mile-sunday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=1694","title":{"rendered":"Tommy Lynam Mid Summer Two Mile &#8211; Sunday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The Tommy Lynam Two Mile \u2013 Mid Summer Road Race takes place on Sunday at 11am.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">This race is held in honour of our former president Tommy Lynam who passed away in 2008, Tommy had been club president since 2003 until his passing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Tommy had a prestigious career in master\u2019s athletics gaining a number of Dublin and national medals at various distances.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Tommy also held a number of positions on the club committee including two spells as chairperson before his election to President.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The race is also part of the Lord Mayor of Raheny Summer series and is the only fixture in the series outside the 8pm Tuesday fixture list. This race is open to everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The Entry fee is \u20ac7 or \u20ac50 for the series, a total of a further 13 races.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Furthermore, our next door neighbours Raheny Scouts are holding a Bake Sale from 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
