Raheny Shamrock continued their dominance as Ireland\u2019s leading athletics club taking home four gold medal,\u00a0two silver and two bronze from the National Junior and Under 23 championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brian Fay got preceding\u2019s under way with junior steeplechase gold clocking nine minutes 46 point 11 seconds on his way to victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next up was Eoin Strutt who took gold in the under 23 5,000 metres, clocking a winning time of 14 minutes 50 point 97 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conor Bermingham continued his impressive season when he pole vaulted his way to gold with a best jump of 4.10 metres.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gold was not the only colour on the table as Matthew Cotter took junior triple jump bronze with a best of 12.43 metres.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was followed by Sean O\u2019Driscoll under 23 100 metre\u00a0silver medal clocking\u00a011.05 seconds, having qualified from his heat in a new personal best of\u00a010.83 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Niamh Corry grabbed silver in the junior 5,000 metres posting 18 minutes 20 point 25 seconds well clear of bronze medallist Avril Deegan from Laois.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were plenty of strong performances abound as Susie O\u2019Flynn placed sixth in the junior 800 metres clocking 2:32.39 followed by Aoibhinnn McGoldrick seventh in 2:21.07.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew Cotter took fourth place in the junior long jump clocking 6.63 metres while Lucy Barrett finished sixth in the 1500 metres in 5.03.40.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark Smyth was just outside the medals in the100 metres, finishing fourth in 10.78 seconds, having qualified from his heat in 10.87 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dylan Kirwan sixth place in the 400m Hurdles posting 60.11 seconds with Daniel Scully taking fifth place in the 1500 metres posting 4:15.55.<\/span><\/p>\n

To wrap the day off in style the junior women\u2019s 4×400 metre relay teams bagged gold and bronze. <\/span><\/p>\n

The A team of Ailbhie Finnegan, Suzie O\u2019Flynn, Lucy Barrett and Aoibhinnn McGoldrick stopped the clock at four minutes six point 94 seconds a full five seconds clear of Carlow outfit SLOT.<\/span><\/p>\n
