Two Silver and a bronze was the medal count from Tullamore on day two of the National Juvenile Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were medals on the double in the under 16 hammer with Hugh Flood and Sean Maher landing silver and bronze.<\/span><\/p>\n

Na Fianna\u2019s Robert Higgins lifted gold with a best of 57.55 metres with Flood taking silver with his second throw of the day being 52.72 metres.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maher won the bronze medal just 10 centimetres short of Flood throwing 52.62 metres with his fifth attempt of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ailish Murtagh took silver in the under 19 3,000 metres posting 10 minutes 33.70 seconds just behind St. John\u2019s Aisling Kelly who posted 10.22.69, with DSD\u2019s Aisling King taking bronze in 10:46.07.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elsewhere there were solid performances throughout the day with Daniel Beveridge finishing sixth in the under 18 shot put with a best of 11.18 metres.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the under 18 400 metres Sarah Tate finished sixth in heat one in 64:52 seconds with Caoimhe Flynn finishing sixth in heat two in 63:90 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eoin O\u2019Dwyer took fourth place in the under 19 3,000 metres posting nine minutes 27.93 seconds with Andrew Hyland finishing sixth in 9:46.25.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sean Flynn took 10th<\/span><\/sup> place in the under 16 3,000 metres posting 10 minutes 14.47 seconds. While Aoibheann McGoldrick finished seventh in under 19 400 metres posting 60.97 seconds in the final. McGoldrick clocked 61.06 seconds in her heat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Katie Flanagan Walsh posted 13.86 seconds for sixth place in the under 19 100 meters having finished fourth in heat one in 13.64 seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Raheny Shamrock\u2019s medal count is now three silver and two bronze for the championships.<\/span><\/p>\n
