Joseph O\u2019Donoghue repeated a domineering performance for the second week in a row to win round six of the Lord Mayor of Raheny series.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Donogue ran a flat 10 minutes for the two mile race held in calm conditions. Simon Devenney took second place in 10 minutes 29 seconds.<\/p>\n

Arnaud Bejacar of Liffey Valley was third man home, some 10 seconds behind Devenney.<\/p>\n

Ailis Murtagh added a sharp victory in the ladies race to her national under 19 3,000 metre silver medal taking eighth place over all in 11 minutes 30 seconds.<\/p>\n

Dublin Bay Runners Zoey Quinn took seconds place just 13 seconds behind Murtagh with Orla Manley taking third place in clocking 12 minutes seven seconds in a very competitive ladies race.<\/p>\n

Before the race a presentation was made to coaches Brian Corcoran and Kay Bannon as their athlete\u2019s prepare to take part in international competition by club President Paddy Noonan.<\/p>\n

Brian is coach to Orla Comerford who will compete in the Para-World Athletics Championships, London 2017 on Monday.<\/p>\n

Kay is coach to Mark Smyth who competed in the European Team Championships last month and will compete in the European Under 20 championships, Grosseto 2017 later this month.<\/p>\n

Mark\u2019s mother Mary Purdue-Smyth was also presented with flowers ahead of taking part in the race.<\/p>\n
