David Kirwan led home 409 runners at the Raheny Shamrock Park Run Day in St. Anne\u2019s Park on Saturday afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a special humid October morning in St.Anne\u2019s Park, the 203rd<\/span><\/sup> occasion of the St.Anne\u2019s Parkrun, Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club provided all stewards and race officials, a way of saying thank you to the organisers of the St. Anne\u2019s Park Run.<\/span><\/p>\n

At our heart we are a community club who endeavor to promote Raheny and the surrounding area.<\/span><\/p>\n

While organising a parkrun is an honour, the icing on the cake is providing the\u00a0first runners home\u00a0as David Kirwan and Ailis Murtagh were first man and woman over the line in St. Annes Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kirwan crossed the line first in 16 minutes 41 seconds with Graham O\u2019Dwyer second some 39 seconds later and Sean Flynn fifth in 17:59.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ailis Murtagh was first woman home in seventh place in 18 minutes seven seconds,<\/span><\/p>\n

Other Raheny Shamrock athletes who competed were Will Walsh 19:04, Patrick Philips 19:18, Keith Comiskey 19:24, Keith Fleming 19:27, Peter Smyth 19:55, Jody Gilhooly 20:13.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seamus Rooney 20:20, Mark McComish 20:20, Dave Feeney 20:22, Diarmaid Comiskey 20:46, Caitriona Costello 21:12, David O\u2019Hara 21:46, Claudio Christensen 21:51, Jeremy Skillington 21:55.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the above runners took part, 52 Raheny Shamrock members volunteered to help the race.<\/span><\/p>\n
