Zoey Quinn secured Dublin intermediate silver and led the women\u2019s team to intermediate gold in Tymon Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quinn was just seven seconds behind Sportsworld Kate Kelly as she secured the silver medal a sizable 17 seconds ahead of Crusaders Niamh Corby.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s captain Orla Manley produced an inspiring run to finish in fifth place with Blaithin Shiel eighth just one place ahead of Laura Brennan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those four gave the team a total score of 24 points some 15 points clear of Sportsworld with Rathfarnham WSAF taking bronze.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not to be forgotten was a strong run from Aine Crimin in 22nd<\/span><\/sup> place, highlighted the talent available to our club captains.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another very good result from Orla Manley\u2019s team, the club\u2019s women\u2019s obviously determined not to let the men\u2019s cross country team write all the news.<\/span><\/p>\n

The intermediate men\u2019s team took inspiration from the earlier efforts of the women\u2019s team with the men landing intermediate silver.<\/span><\/p>\n

David Kirwan was first home for the Shamrock\u2019s in sixth position, followed by 12th<\/span><\/sup> place Graham O\u2019Dwyer with Robert Frewen 13th<\/span><\/sup> and Ian McConkey 17th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

That total gave the Shamrock\u2019s 48 points and silver medals, just three points behind Clonliffe Harriers with Rathfarnham WSAF a further 18 points adrift in third place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Club stalwart Seanie Honan finished in 57th<\/span><\/sup> place in the men\u2019s race.<\/span><\/p>\n

A very good day indeed in Tymon Park with both teams posing for a picture!<\/span><\/p>\n
