Annette Kealy landed women\u2019s over 50 gold in the national masters cross country championships in Clanbridge Co.Galway.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kealy finished 15th<\/span><\/sup> overall and led the W50 team to the silver medals. Kealy combined with Orla Gomerly (58th), Adrienne Atkins (104th<\/span><\/sup>) and Bernie Manley (163rd) to total 340 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

This gave the W50 team silver medals behind An Riocht (294 pts) and well clear of Mayo A.C (437 pts).<\/span><\/p>\n

Tara Kennedy Monks was first Raheny woman home in the race overall taking 25th<\/span><\/sup> place with Zoe Quinn 36th<\/span><\/sup>, Elaine O\u2019Hagan McNulty 61st<\/span><\/sup> and Rachel Ormrod 103rd.<\/span><\/p>\n

The W35 team finished in eighth place overall with 225 points, Crusaders taking gold with 103 pts.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Des Kennedy took gold in the M45 race having finished seventh overall. Kenney was some 13 seconds clear of second placed Eamon White.<\/span><\/p>\n

The men\u2019s 35 team just out a medal, finishing just five points off the bronze medal with Kennedy combining with Brian Leahy (31st<\/span><\/sup>), Ciaran McGrath (37th<\/span><\/sup>) and Rory O\u2019Sullivan (43rd<\/span><\/sup>) for a total of 118 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Raheny team just five points behind bronze medallists Finn Valley and just 18 points off gold which went to Rathfarnham WSAF, Letterkenny took silver with 113 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ian McConkey took 61st<\/span><\/sup> place overall.<\/span><\/p>\n

The M50 were just as unlucky in the team category with Mick Traynor just missing out on an individual medal in the M50 category coming fourth.<\/span><\/p>\n

The M50 team of Mick Traynor (93rd<\/span><\/sup>), Donald Quinn (107th<\/span><\/sup>), Brian Kelly (147) and Brendan Atkins (223rd<\/span><\/sup>) totalling 570 point\u2019s just 16 points off bronze.<\/span><\/p>\n

Orla Manley took 23rd place in the women\u2019s national intermediate championship held over the same course, while in the men\u2019s race Graham O\u2019Dwyer placed 26th, <\/span><\/sup>Davey Duane 28th <\/span><\/sup>and Robert Frewen 40th.<\/span><\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
