Hi I’m Sinead the Club Children’s Officer.<\/p>\n

This role involves working with juvenile coaches to create an environment where all children in our club have a positive and enjoyable experience in a safe and child centered environment\u00a0 (safeguarding role ).<\/p>\n

It also involves ensuring the children in the club are protected from abuse while participating with the club and more generally (child protection role).<\/p>\n

I initially got involved in the club through my kids and began coaching primary school groups in 2020. Louise our Juvenile Lead also convinced me to get into running myself.<\/p>\n

For my day job I’m a psychologist and work exclusively with children. I often work in collaboration with social workers and have experience with child protection processes.<\/p>\n

I also have four children at home. They’re all proud Raheny Shamrock athletes but each has different levels of motivation, ability and confidence. So I see first had the importance of the safeguarding aspect of the role.<\/p>\n
