I have been a member of the club since 1972, competing as a middle distance runner, and have served on many club committees down the years.<\/p>\n

I am honoured to be elected as Chairperson at a time when the club has never been stronger, since its founding in 1958, in membership numbers, and in the success of its participation and high performance streams.<\/div>\n

With two major capital projects underway – the clubhouse and the track – my focus will be to progress these projects significantly during his term.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In parallel with these once-off projects, I would like to strengthen the financial and governance aspects of the club in order to ensure that we can operate efficiently and sustainably over the long term.<\/div>\n

I firmly believes that the new Executive Committee is very strong with a wide range of skills and experiences and I hope to build on the strong foundation laid down by previous Chairs.<\/div>\n
