Number Collection<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n If you have selected to collect your race number, there are two options available;<\/p>\n On Saturday you can collect your numbers from the Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club Clubhouse, Howth Road, Raheny between 10am and 4pm.<\/p>\n Registration for the four Juvenile races will also be accepted on Saturday. Entry fee is \u20ac5.<\/p>\n The Raheny Shamrock A.C Clubhouse is located here on google maps here<\/a><\/p>\n On Race Day<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n You can collect numbers for the AXA Raheny 5 in the race HQ, Scoil Assaim between 11am and 2pm on race day.<\/p>\n Please see the event area map via Google Maps.<\/p>\n https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1eLAVrG-jaYt_8k5s1wPR6KmBYIE&usp=sharing<\/p>\n Getting to Raheny<\/p>\n We highly recommend the use of public transport with Raheny served by;<\/p>\n Dublin Bus routes 29A, 31, 31A, 31B, 31D and 32.<\/p>\n On the Dart, Raheny is located Northbound on the Howth\/Malahide line from Dublin City Centre.<\/p>\n The station is located 400 meters from the race HQ. Sign posts will direct you from Raheny Dart station to the race HQ.<\/p>\n There is limited parking available in Raheny Chruch and St. Anne\u2019s Tennis Club with limited public parking also available in Raheny Village.<\/p>\n Race Facilities <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n The Race HQ is Scoil Assaim. On Google maps here<\/p>\n A Bag Drop is available at Raheny GAA Club \u2013 Astro turf pitches \u2013 Please see the event map here.<\/p>\n There are No changing or shower facalities available on the day.<\/p>\n There are restroom facilities both permanent and portaloo\u2019s at Scoil Assaim.<\/p>\n Portaloo\u2019s will also be available at the start\/finish area.<\/p>\n Juvenile Races<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n There are five juvenile races on the day, which are listed below. Entries for these races are taken in the CARA Hall, located beside the race start.<\/p>\n Entry fee is \u20ac5 and entries open on Sunday at 11am.<\/p>\n 1:40pm \u2013 Girls 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n 1:50pm \u2013 Boys 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n 2pm \u2013 Girls 8 \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n 2:10pm \u2013 Boys \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n 2:25pm \u2013 Boys & Girls 13 \u2013 16 years old \u2013 1 Mile<\/p>\n All Participants receive a medal and goody bag with prizes for the top three in each race<\/p>\n RACE Time<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Please follow the instructions of the stewards and Gardai at all time. There are seven races on the card which are;<\/p>\n 1:30pm \u2013 Girls 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n 1:40pm \u2013 Boys 5 \u2013 7 years old \u2013 400 Metres<\/p>\n 1:50pm \u2013 Girls 8 \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n 2pm \u2013 Boys \u2013 12 years old \u2013 800 Metres<\/p>\n 2:15pm \u2013 Boys & Girls 13 \u2013 16 years old \u2013 1 Mile<\/p>\n 2:30pm \u2013 AXA Raheny 5 Walk<\/p>\n 2:55pm \u2013 AXA Raheny 5 Wheelchair race<\/p>\n 3pm \u2013 2019 AXA Raheny 5<\/p>\n After you have completed the race please follow the steward\u2019s instructions, slowly and carefully moving through the finish area where you will collect your good bag.<\/p>\n The AXA Raheny 5 plaque will be included in your goody bag.<\/p>\n Race Refreshments<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n After the race tea\u2019s, coffees and some light refreshments will be served in Raheny GAA Club.<\/p>\n Prize Presentation<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n The Prize Presentation will take place approximately 4.30pm in the race HQ at Scoil Assaim.<\/p>\n Also remember there are spot prizes for Men and Women so do remember to you check your number in the Scoil Assaim Hall.<\/p>\n If you are a supporter, there are a number of spectator spots on the course where you will be able to see the race past.<\/p>\n Also remember that NEAR FM will broadcast the race in full with their broadcast from the AXA Raheny 5 beginning at 2.30pm.<\/p>\n NEAR FM is available at 90.3fm in Raheny and North East Dublin or via the Tune In radio app and www.near.ie.<\/p>\n Enjoy the Day<\/p>\n Yours in Sport`<\/p>\n Pat Hooper<\/p>\n Race Director<\/p>\n AXA Insurance and Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are very happy to welcome you to the 35th AXA Raheny 5 Mile Road Race.
