Sean Maher finished a very respectable 13th<\/span><\/sup> at the European Youth Olympic festival in Baku this morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hammer thrower Maher took 13th<\/span><\/sup> place with a best throw of 56.48 metres, outside his personal best.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m severely disappointed and I knew I could perform a lot better than 56m\u201d explained Maher, that\u2019s 12m off what I know what I can throw.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut when you\u2019re here you need to compete with the big boys, you need to get a throw in in the first three or you\u2019re not going anywhere\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n
