Mick Clohisey took the national silver medal when finishing sixth at this year Dublin Marathon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clohisey clocked 2:13.18 after a fast finishing Stephen Scullion ran an excellent five kilometres to take second place overall and national gold in 2:12.01.<\/span><\/p>\n

A personal best for Clohisey on a day when the course record was broken by Morocco\u2019s Othmane El Goumri in 2:08:06 just six months after completing a two-year suspension for a doping violation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clohisey\u2019s victory saw him retain the Pat Quinn trophy as first Raheny man home in the Dublin marathon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cillian O\u2019Leary posted a fast 2:23.26 for 20th<\/span><\/sup> place overall with Mark Kirwan clocking 2:33.38 unofficially that result should give the men\u2019s team national silver.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shirley Coyle was the first woman home and claimed the Pat Quinn trophy as first Raheny home overall the line when Coyle crossed the line in 2:57.11.<\/span><\/p>\n
