Raheny were well represented in Athlone today at the Glohealth National Juvenies and U23 championships. Star of the day was Sean O’Driscoll (pictured), winning the junior 60m title in a blistering 6.90 seconds just 0.01 of a second off the current club record and 0.02 off national \u00e1junior record. Sean also won bronze in the 200m final, clocking a time of 22:10. There were also bronze medals for Conor Bermingham in the junior pole vault (4 metres) and Cillian Kirwan in the junior 200m (2:02:10), while Aisling Drumgoole won bronze in the women’s U23 200m (26:18). Well done all.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday at the North Leinsters, Niamh Corry running in the colours of Malahide Community school, won the senior girls cross country race. Niamh has shown great form and promise over the winter at various cross country races and continues to make great strides. On the Intermediate front the Holy Faith team compromising club athletes placed 2nd overall.
