The Raheny Shamrock women\u2019s cross country team took third place in the All-Ireland intermediate cross country championship in Avondale House, co.Wicklow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Niamh Corbett was first home in ninth place with Orla Manley 22nd<\/span><\/sup>, Laura Brennan 25th<\/span><\/sup> and Sinead Currie 40th<\/span><\/sup> for a total of 96 points, just one clear of fourth place Donore Harriers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Crusaders took gold with 63 and Sportsworld were second with 70.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the men\u2019s race Dylan O\u2019Brien was first home in 35th<\/span><\/sup> place with Brian Sexton 53rd<\/span><\/sup>, Ian McConkey 54th<\/span><\/sup> and Martin McKenna 59th<\/span><\/sup> as the team finished ninth. Will Walsh took 67th<\/span><\/sup> place.<\/span><\/p>\n

The master women\u2019s 35 team took silver led home by over-35 gold medallist Kate Purcell with Sarah Quigley 19th<\/span><\/sup>, Zoe Quinn 44th<\/span><\/sup>, Mary Walsh 54th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Others who ran were Ann Marie Woods 70th<\/span><\/sup>, Siobhan McArdle 97th<\/span><\/sup>, Orla Gormley 109th<\/span><\/sup>, Louise Keogh 13th<\/span><\/sup>, Jenny Colbert 128th<\/span><\/sup>, Orla Lambe 141st<\/span><\/sup>, Deirdre O\u2019Dwyer 170, Melanie Hearns 178th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Annette Kealy won the Over-50 gold medal leading the team to gold. The other scoring members were Siobhan McArdle 97, Orla Gormley 109 and Jenny Colbert 128. Deirdre O\u2019Dwyer finished 170th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the master\u2019s o\/35 the team just missed out on the bronze medal finishing fourth. The team was Ian Conroy 15th<\/span><\/sup>, Ciaran McCarthy 19th<\/span><\/sup>, Brian Leahy 24th<\/span><\/sup> and David McDonnell 80th<\/span><\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Others who ran were Michael Boyle 90th<\/span><\/sup>, Michael Kehoe 148th<\/span><\/sup>, Andy Kelly 182, Michael Gygax 184, Gary Alyward 189. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the age group categories Ciaran McCarthy took bronze over 45, Des Kennedy won gold over 50.<\/span><\/p>\n
