{"id":4354,"date":"2021-01-30T13:38:50","date_gmt":"2021-01-30T13:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=4354"},"modified":"2021-01-30T13:39:19","modified_gmt":"2021-01-30T13:39:19","slug":"national-indoor-championships-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=4354","title":{"rendered":"National Indoor Championships Cancelled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Athletics Ireland have confirmed that next month&#8217;s National Indoor Championships have been cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>The decision has been reached due to level-five COVID-19 restrictions being extended until March the 5th. The championships where due to take place in Abbotstown on February 20<sup>th<\/sup> and 21<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Athletics Ireland are now examining alternative options which would allow for a Covid-19 compliant event for European Indoor qualification purposes and for the attainment of World Ranking points towards Tokyo qualification.<\/p>\n<p>Entry will be restricted to athletes tracking towards Olympic Games qualification and European Indoor Championships qualification, details of which will be published as soon as all details are confirmed and agreed with Government.<\/p>\n<p>Full
