This Tuesday July 20th<\/sup> will see the 13th<\/sup> and concluding round of the 2020 Lord Mayor of Raheny Series.<\/p>\n

While this race will bring to a conclusion the 2020 Lord Mayor Series, we are proceeding with our fixture list for this summer.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday July 27th<\/sup> the 33rd running of the Jim Wall open handicap cup will take place. Any person who took out a series entry to the 2020 Lord Mayor of Raheny Two Mile series can take part in this race for no charge.<\/p>\n

More details will be announced on the 2020 Jim Wall Cup in the coming week.<\/p>\n

The club are planning to complete a number of long standing races which were postponed in 2020 due to covid-19 lockdowns.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday August third the 2020 Brian Holland Cup, the clubs longest standing road race, fist held in 1960 will take place on its traditional course starting opposite the taxi rank in Raheny village.<\/p>\n

This will be followed by the 2021 Brian Holland Cup on August 10th. This race will revert to its normal date in April for 2022.<\/p>\n

The 2020 Joe Noonan Cup is scheduled for Sunday August 15th<\/sup>, more details on this race in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday August 17th<\/sup> the 2021 Lord Mayor of Raheny Two Mile series will begin and for 2021 will revert to the original six race series. Details on this series will be announced in August.<\/p>\n

As we work through these races the organising committee have worked with all relevant stake holders and continue to follow all public health guidelines and advice.<\/p>\n

Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club have held open dialogue with Athletics Ireland for a proposed hosting of the national road relays with a planned date of Sunday September 12th<\/sup> 2021.<\/p>\n

This event is subject to public health guidelines and the relaxation of restrictions for public gatherings. Athletics Ireland and Raheny Shamrock will issue a further update once details become available.<\/p>\n

The club hope to host the delayed 2020 Battle of Clontarf 10 Mile road race in 2021, this is dependent on public health guidance and once further information is available, the club will release details when available.<\/p>\n
