{"id":5584,"date":"2022-04-18T15:48:13","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T15:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5584"},"modified":"2022-04-18T15:48:13","modified_gmt":"2022-04-18T15:48:13","slug":"clohisey-wins-battle-of-clontarf-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5584","title":{"rendered":"Clohisey Wins Battle of Clontarf 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mick Clohisey was an impressive winner of the 2022 Battle of Clontarf 10 after a mighty battle.<\/p>\n<p>French man Arnaud De Lustrac took second place after tussling with Clohisey for all 10 mile. Clohisey winning out by just six seconds in 50:43 followed by De Lustrac in 50:49.<\/p>\n<p>Mick Fogarty of Ferbane took third place having caught MSB\u2019s Sean Hehir in the final three mile.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s race was just as competitive and saw a battle between two Wicklow athletes as Catherine O\u2019Connor of Sli Cualann won out in 62:06 ahead of club mate Sarah Baryga in 62:46.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to Karen Alexander in 62:56.<\/p>\n<p>The Leinster 10 mile championship was incorporated into the Battle of Clontarf with the men\u2019s title going to Mick Clohisey, silver to Mick Fogarty and bronze to Sean Hehir.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s title went to Catherine O\u2019Connor and silver Sarah Barya with Raheny\u2019s Aine Crimin taking the bronze medal.<\/p>\n<p>The host club took the team prizes. The men\u2019s team of Mick Clohisey, Ger Redmond and Eric Champ registered 31 points. Clonliffe Harriers came second with 43 points and Mullingar Harriers came third with 59.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s team of Aine Crimin, Orla Manley and Mary Walsh took gold with 18 points. Second place went to Sli Cualann with 26 and third place to Tullamore Harriers with 41 points.<\/p>\n<p>It was a fantastic Easter Monday morning in St Anne\u2019s Park as the Battle of Clontarf made it\u2019s return after a three absence.<\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to all the stewards and officials who gave up their bank holiday Monday for the hosting of this event.<\/p>\n<p>Full results are available
