{"id":5820,"date":"2022-07-08T11:47:14","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T11:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5820"},"modified":"2022-07-08T13:10:41","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T13:10:41","slug":"favors-gets-world-championship-call-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5820","title":{"rendered":"Favors Gets World Championship Call-Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was brilliant news this morning as Eric Favors has received selection to the World Championships in Oregon next week.<\/p>\n<p>Favors who has preformed exceptionally this season in the shot put received a place on the world qualifying system having been ranked 37h in the World ranking this year.<\/p>\n<p>Favors received 70 points on the ranking system when throwing 20.05 metre&#8217;s at Music City Track Carnival Festival, Vanderbilt Track, Nashville on June fourth, the score was enough to qualify for Oregon 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Favors now joins fellow club mate Sophie Becker at the World Championships. Becker will compete in the 400 metres and the mixed 4&#215;400 relay.<\/p>\n<p>Favors and Becker will join Kieren Finn, Paddy McGrath and Mick Clohisey as Raheny athletes who have competed at the
