{"id":5869,"date":"2022-07-16T02:46:03","date_gmt":"2022-07-16T02:46:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5869"},"modified":"2022-07-16T02:46:03","modified_gmt":"2022-07-16T02:46:03","slug":"favors-makes-world-championship-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5869","title":{"rendered":"Favors Makes World Championship Debut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eric Favors became the fifth Raheny Shamrock athlete to compete in the World Championships in Oregon on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Favors third attempt of 19.76 metres was his best of the evening living Favors finish in 21<sup>st<\/sup> place overall.<\/p>\n<p>The qualifying mark for the final was 21.20 metres or inside the top 12 throws.<\/p>\n<p>A very good performance from Favors who opened with 19.44 metres followed by 19.50m. Favors third throw of 19.76m saw him finish 11<sup>th<\/sup> in group A.<\/p>\n<p>The group was won by American Ryan Crouser with an opening throw of 22.28 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Well done to Eric on his performance in the World Championship after just seven days to prepare for the championship.
