{"id":5966,"date":"2022-08-03T15:53:48","date_gmt":"2022-08-03T15:53:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5966"},"modified":"2022-08-03T15:53:48","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T15:53:48","slug":"becker-fay-favors-and-smyth-get-european-championship-call","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rahenyshamrock.ie\/?p=5966","title":{"rendered":"Becker, Fay, Favors And Smyth Get European Championship Call"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sophie Becker, Eric Favors, Brian Fay and Mark Smyth have all been selected on the Irish team for the 2022 European Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Becker is set to become the first Raheny athlete to compete at all major indoor and outdoor championships when competing in the 400m and 400m relay.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Fay will become the first Raheny athlete to compete in the European Cross country, indoor and outdoor championships when competing in the 5,000 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Favors will become the first Raheny athlete to compete in the shot put.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Smyth will make his major championship debut in the 4x100m relay.<\/p>\n<p>The European championships take place in Munich from August 15<sup>th<\/sup> to 24<sup>th<\/sup>.
